How epigenetics and dog breeding are related

A very complex field that is still quite new in science is epigenetics. This word is composed of the two terms "epigenesis" and "genetics", whereby epigenesis means the development not only of a dog but of every living being. The fact that epigenetics also plays a role in dog breeding should not only be of interest to scientists, because the dog owner can also gain valuable information from this. So not only the health of a dog at the beginning of his birth is crucial for his genome, but also his experiences in the course of his life. This becomes clear with the example of white mice, because in a study these animals not only inherited purely biological aspects, but also bad memories. Thus, epigenetics is the science of changing genes – or rather their activation and deactivation – due to environmental factors.
